Content is KING!

I mentioned previously about the importance of content and this is a corner stone of all marketing materials. You wouldn’t expect to watch a demo in B&Q on how to make origami, so why would you share content that isn’t relevant to your target market.

Now lots of companies fall into the trap of ‘industry news’ thinking that’s relevant to their customers… NO, NO, NO!!!!!

This is so frustrating and as a consumer that just turns you off straight away. I don’t want to know about new security regulations for data storage from my home alarm company!

Put yourself in your customers shoes and think about what they really want to know.

Some examples:

Fitness/PT:
How can I lose weight quickly?
What exercises should I do more of to get smaller legs?
How to shift belly fat?
What should I snack on after a workout?

Estate Agents:
What colours appeal in a lounge?
What works better fresh bread or coffee?
How should I pick an agent?
Move or renovate, how to decide?

IT companies
Best WiFi spots locally
What kind of firewall do I need?
Can I manage my own software licences?
What is the GDPR requirements?

Security/Fire
Recent H&S fines
Burglary stats
What are my legal requirements?
Tips for protecting your home/business

Its all about making sure you are appealing to customers and potential customers with content they would love… So, get your thinking caps on and get working.
